About the Blog

Why would I want to read Doc’s Tech Notes?
You may not! Doc’s Tech Notes is the work of Steven “Doc” Combs, Ph.D. Good or bad…it’s his fault. You can learn more about him on the About Doc page. After reading that blow-hard’s page, you may never return. He thinks he’s all that and a bag of chips, when actually, he's just the dip.

So what can you expect to find on this blog? How about a mish–mash of Tech Notes that you can use to learn more about information technology. Each post is designed to be useful to someone. That’s right. If one person finds a blog post useful, Doc has succeeded. You’ll also find that the posts take a very casual tone. As if Doc is sitting there telling you how to do something. A sample of the topics you are likely to read include posts about:
Pretty much any technology that is currently smacking Doc in the face at the time. Most Tech Notes are generated from “issues” or “problems” Doc is having. He then shares the solution (if he ever figured them out himself) with the world. On occasion he will also post interesting videos and links to other blog posts that may be of interest to Doc’s Tech Notes readers. Have something you would like for him to tackle? Drop him an e-mail.

Follow Doc. He's not afraid of stalkers.
If you can’t get enough of Doc’s content, he also tweets regularly at:
