Time to go all National Public Radio on you.
I know, you are not Doc’s Mother. So why would you want to support Doc? Observant folks will notice that Doc’s Tech Notes is hosted on Google’s Blogger service. So the fees associated with maintaining Doc’s Tech Notes are minimal; however, it would be nice if Doc could offset his Internet service provider fees, Picasa storage fees, and maintain his equipment. He’s not fool enough to think he can make a living at this; however, it would be nice to cover the cost of his hobby and allow him to buy new gadgets to share with his readers. So, if you find a post useful, won’t you consider leaving Doc a tip? You can find the Tip Doc feature on the left-hand side of each page. We’ve even included a handy button below so you can give it a try now.
You like gadgets? Doc likes gadgets.
Getting ready to buy and item that Doc mentions? Click one of the links in his Tech Note. Better yet, find all items mentioned and a few other favorites at Doc's Gadget Store. That way you get a little something, you give a little something. If you do purchase something from the blog, drop Doc an e-mail and let him know. Also tell him how you liked the product or provide a link to your review.
Why donate or shop?
There are times when Doc spends quite a bit of time writing a post that he throws in a subtle reminder to for the reader to tip him by including the button found above. That’s simply a cry saying, “Hey! This thing took some serious time and some gratuity is appreciated.” Will Doc stop blogging if he doesn’t receive a tip. You can be hopeful, but no…probably not. Again, it is just a nice gesture. And isn’t that what it’s all about?
