We’ve added weather to our Google Calendar, today I’m going to show you how to display game calendars for your favorite sport teams. Whether it’s NCAA baskball (Doc's favorite) or Major League Baseball, Google has a calendar you can subscribe to. Here's how to quickly add your favorite team’s calendar to your Google calendar:- Visit the Google Calendar page
- If you have a Google account, login – if not, you’ll need to create one
- Click the Settings link in the upper-right hand corner as shown in the image below
Sports calendars may be highlighted, if not click Settings
- On the Calendar Settings page, click Calendars
- Click on the Browse interesting calendars» link midway down the page and to the right – the Interesting Calendars options will appear as shown in the image below
Select one of many Sports calendars
The rest is up to you. Select a sport and then drill down to your favorite team by browsing through both professional and college teams from several different leagues and divisions. My Alma Mater, Murray State University, was on the list. Once you've selected a team, just navigate back to your calendar, by clicking the « Back to Calendar link, and browse through the season to see when, where and who your favorite team is up against. You can verify that you have subscribed to the correct calendar, as well as toggling the calendar on/off, by reviewing the Other calendars area on the bottom-left of the page as shown in the image below. You can click the down-arrow next to each team to modify the tag color. So in my case, Kentucky Wildcats shouldn't , but rather BIG BLUE.
If you’re a big sports fan and not a Google Calendar user, this is a very compelling reason to consider giving it a shot. Heck, you may even find that Google Calendar can be used to organize your life as well.
