Mac startup modes

Mac's have several boot-up options used for troubleshooting and maintenance. Here are the boot-up options every Mac user should know. Press and hold the following keyboard combos and press the power button:
CMD+c | Optical disk boot | boot from a CD or DVD
CMD+n | Network book      | boot from a network location
CMD+s | Single user mode  | NO GUI, UNIX commands only
CMD+t | Target disk mode  | Use internal drive as Firewire drive
CMD+v | Verbose mode      | displays all start-up messages
SHIFT | Safe boot         | troubleshooting with minimal options
OPT   | Open Firmware     | boots to Open Firmware prompt

CMD+OPT+SHIFT+DEL | bypass internal hard drive
CMD+OPT+p+r       | reset PRAM and NVRAM
Mouse Button      | eject CD/DVD while booting
